Case Study of Hydrogen Ship Cooperation
Suyu Technology x Jimei University
On August 26, 2024, the 20 meter hydrogen fuel cell driven experimental vessel “Jida Hydrogen Dynamic 1” from Jimei University, which was provided with a hydrogen fuel cell power system by Suyu Technology and constructed by Jianglong Shipbuilding, was successfully launched. This set of marine hydrogen fuel cell power system has a rated power of 120kW, an output voltage of 450-750VDC, and a cruising speed of 8kn with a range of about 50 kilometers. The application of hydrogen fuel cell technology on ships can achieve energy efficiency, zero emissions, and improved ship comfort, making it an ideal power propulsion device for green ships. Suyu Technology is based on a self-developed integrated electronic control architecture platform, providing hydrogen fuel cell power systems for ships. Previously, it not only successfully collaborated with Wuxi Haiyu Shipbuilding to build a 10 meter class inland hydrogen powered official boat, but also actively cooperated with multiple domestic port groups, shipyards, etc. to explore the application and research of hydrogen fuel cell power systems for ships, promoting the green and low-carbon development of China’s shipping industry.
Suyu Technology x Yidong Technology

Since October 2023, Suyu Technology and Yidong Ship team have been jointly committed to the research and development and promotion of the “JMDX16m Green Intelligent Ship Project”, and significant progress has been made so far. Suyu Technology provides the power system in the project. Unlike conventional small government boat projects, this project has a hull size of 16 meters and uses a 50kW hydrogen fuel cell system as one of the power sources. This system has multi-level boost function, which can flexibly match different power system requirements. Applying high-frequency electronic control technology to enable ships to perform outstandingly in terms of start-up and power control. The unique heat dissipation design ensures the reliability of the system, while the high endurance and long cycle time make maintenance of the ship more convenient. More noteworthy is that the vessel has achieved zero carbon emissions, fully demonstrating the concept of environmental protection and sustainability. The hydrogen fuel cell system installed on this vessel is designed in accordance with the certification requirements of CCS classification society, and will become the first hydrogen powered ship in Fujian Province, marking a zero breakthrough in the application of hydrogen fuel cell technology in ships in Fujian Province. The successful implementation of this project has profound demonstration significance for promoting the intelligent and integrated electrification development of future ships, as well as the green and low-carbon development of shipping. It is not only a practice of the new development concept, but also a vivid practice of implementing the “dual carbon” goal, contributing new strength to accelerating the construction of a strong transportation country.
Suyu Technology x Haiyu Ship

On May 30, 2023, Suyu Technology and Haiyu Shipbuilding held a strategic signing ceremony at Suyu Technology’s first Hydrogen Experience Day and 2023 Summer New Product Launch Conference. The hydrogen powered ship product jointly developed by the two parties made its debut at a special event
