The 2nd National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Finals, with the theme of ‘Wisdom Empowering Development, Innovation Leading the Future’, was successfully concluded on the afternoon of 28th October.
Dr Dong Zhen of SEEEX Technology was awarded the Gold Prize of the Overseas (Overseas) Competition in the field of New Energy and New Materials for his project ‘Research, Development and Industrialisation of Integrated Electronically Controlled Hydrogen-Lithium Hybrid System’.
The National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is the largest, highest level and widest coverage postdoctoral national event held since the implementation of China’s postdoctoral system, and this year’s Competition attracted a total of 6,206 postdoctoral projects and 25,000 people to participate in the competition, and 1,530 team projects have been selected as finalists in the national finals. After the pre-selection and recommendation and the national review, a number of excellent young talents represented by postdoctoral students stood out.
SEEEX always insists on independent research and development and technological innovation. The award-winning project is a testimony to the achievements of the team led by Dr Dong Zhen, who has been adhering to the power electronics approach to empower hydrogen energy and related new energy systems for more than 2 years. The project has obtained more than 40 national patents and produced 9 SCI&EI papers. Relying on the advantages of integrated electronic control technology and standardised hydrogen-lithium hybrid power generation solutions, the products cover a wide range of power levels, and have been applied to many scenarios, such as hydrogen storage and power generation, emergency power supply, electric ships, light and heavy carriers, and large-carrying and long-endurance aircrafts.
